Perovskite oxides LaCoO3 was prepared by the glycine-nitrate process, and a salt-assisted combustion process was presented. The characters of synthesized powders were analyzed by XRD,SEM and IR.The results show that the simple introduction of leachable inert inorganic salt NaCl as an excellent agglomeration inhibitor leaded to the formation of well-dispersed and fine crystalline particles. The photodegradation experiments of acid red B were carried out in the suspension of LaCoO3 acting as the photocatalysts. The degradation rate of acid red B was up to 94.0% from original 85.8% with 0.10g catalyst in 50mL,10mg/L acid red B degradation 2h.
