Motivation is a well-researched construct; this study has investigated how students perceive and make sense of situations in which learners are motivated to learn. 50 sophomores of Law College in Shenzhen University were surveyed to reveal their perceptions of student motivation. Three variables (English level, hometown, and gender) were used to explain why motivation varies among students. Pedagogical and research implications are suggested in response to students'perceptions of motivation.
混合式语言教学模式依托"以学生为中心"的教学理念,能调动学生课上、课下共同参与的积极性,已在各高校展开.在此背景下,文章在深圳大学的"大学英语"课程中面向A等级学生进行了混合式语言教学模式的应用,并基于修订版探究社区(Revised Community of Inquiry,RCoI)量表,通过问卷调查,对混合式语言教学模式中学生的使用体验、模式的优势和不足进行了探讨,发现该模式成效良好,师生角色需要进一步转换.最后,文章针对混合式语言教学模式的不足,提出了相应的改进建议,以期为提升混合式语言教学的课程质量提供参考.
