As to promote and enhance the current understanding of the Pre-Zhou culture in terms of its distribution and characteristics,we conducted an extensive excavation at Zaoshugounao site in Chunhua County,Shaanxi Province in 2006. F14 is one of the houses which were dated to the pre-dynastic Zhou period. The preliminary analysis indicates this dwelling may have been functioned as a storage room for potteries, referring to its unique structure and abundant yieldings of cultural remains. The identification of house dwelling F14 provides important information not only to the study of Zaoshugounao site, but also to the understanding of the Proto-Zhou culture in the ancient capital area Bin.
