This paper attempts to explore the development trend of studies of Chinese as a second language under the influence of modern information technology, based on the relationship between technology and people. Either the "network in the classroom" or "the classroom on the network", needs the guidance of modern education technologies theoretically and methodologically, as well as the participation of the education technology related professionals. Furthermore, modern teaching technologies should establish new harmony among teachers, students and modern media technologies, thus create a better teaching effect than that of traditional teaching methods.
