Objective: To investigate the anti-inflammation and analgesic effects of Quyuningtong paster (QYNTP). Method : Animal models of acute and subacute inflammations including ear edema caused by xylene , capillary permeability increase by acetic acid in mice and plantar edema by albumen, granuloma by cotton ball in rats were made to observe the anti-inflammation effects of QYNTP . Animal models of pain including reaction of body torsion caused by acetic acid and irritations by heat plate in mice were adopted to study the analgesic action of QYNTP. Result: QYNTP could not only significantly inhibit the ear edema, depress the increase of capillary permeability in mice, but relieve the plantar edema and inhibit the granuloma in rats. In addition, it also remarkably reduce the frequency of body torsion reaction, prolong the latent period of the pain reactions and raise the pain threshold in mice. Conclusion : QYNTP has obvious anti-inflammation and analgesic effects.
