The whole article is composed of four parts. Firstly, it states briefly history and status quo of international Egyptological development, especially developmental feature after the Second War II. Secondly, it demonstrates sprouting and beginning of Egyptology in Old China, mainly some travel notes written by the officials of the Qing Dynasty and achievements in the cultural relic and hieroglyph research issues by a small number of returned students. Along with the historical relics and duplication of the tablet inscriptions of Egypt preserved in China. Thirdly, it introduces focally and systematically teaching and present research situation of Egyptology after the foundation of PRC, as well as published important papers and works. The last part puts forward several pieces of advice on how to strengthen the construction of Egyptology in the 21th century.
