Ancient international relations haven’t been acknowledged fully and studied adequately. However, they did exist and had a long colorful history if state-like rather than nation-state is regarded as a unit of international relations. By examining the ancient world we could see there had been quite a few dramatic transformations refuting the argumentthat the nature of international relations would never change. In fact, the dearth of evolution theory on international relations and the existence of Eurocentrism/ Westcentrism are owing tothe disregard of ancient international relations directly. The study of ancient international relations will not only change and enrich our understanding of the history of international relations, but also lay down a solid foundation for the development and improvement of internationalrelations theory.
