Monodisperse calcite microparticles were fabricated by using biomacromolecule-gelatin as template.Spheric and flower-like calcite spherules were obtained. The SEM results indicate that both the temperature and the added SDS effectively influence the shape of the obtained calcite particles. The pure phase of calcite of all samples was validated by using XRD and IR analyses.IR results also indicate that a certain amount of gelatinous molecules have been hybridized into the obtained calcite microparticles.
