Mn基钙钛矿样品相图修正及庞磁电阻起因
2005年
对具有不同A位平均离子尺寸的AMnO3型Mn基钙钛矿样品的阻温关系和电子顺磁共振谱等进行了实验研究.结果表明,在温度与A位平均离子尺寸的相图上,除了普遍公认的高温顺磁绝缘体相和低温长程铁磁有序的金属相外,在两相之间还存在一过渡相,其起因源于顺磁绝缘体背景上出现短程铁磁有序的金属集团所致.研究结果还表明,外加磁场加速铁磁金属集团的生成和长大是导致庞磁电阻效应的主要原因.

失配因子σ^2对掺杂锰基钙钛矿氧化物输运性质的影响被引量:2

掺杂量、A位阳离子平均半径及失配因子是影响掺杂锰基钙钛矿氧化物从顺磁绝缘体到铁磁金属转变的主要因素,为了突出研究失配因子的影响,本文固定掺杂量和A位阳离子平均半径制备了一系列样品。0和5 T磁场下电阻率与温度关系测量表明,随着失配因子的增加,绝缘体-金属转变温度向低温区移动且与σ2保持线性关系;通过调节失配因子,样品La0.53Sm0.17Sr0.3MnO3的磁电阻在室温附近达到了极大值。结合样品的电输运行为,对实验结果进行了讨论。

Electrical Transport and Magnetic Properties of La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)Mn_(1-x)Cr_xO_3 and La_(0.67+x)Ca_(0.33-x)Mn_(1-x)Cr_xO_3(0.04≤x≤0.08)

A comparative study for two different series, La0.67Ca0.33Mn1-xCrxO3 and La0.67+xCa0.33-x Mn1-xCrxO3 is performed with x changing from 0.04 to 0.08 through measurements of zero-field resistivity (p), magnetoresistance (MR) and ac susceptibility (Z) as functions of temperature (T). For the second group, a single insulator-metal transition was characterized by the resistivity maximum appears in p vs. T curve. For the first group, besides the resistivity peak appearing at higher temperatures, the sample shows evidence for the existence of another peak appearing at lower temperatures. Compared to the first group, the second group shows a significant enhancement in MR effect, while the measurement ofΧ-T dependence does not display obvious differences for the two series. Different behaviors observed in the two series are discussed by considering possible exchange interaction between Mn^3- ion and Cr^3- ion.

La_(2/3)Ca_(1/3)MnO_3样品的磁和电子输运性质研究被引量:2

实验研究了La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 样品零磁场下的电阻率和低磁场下的磁化强度随温度的变化行为.结果表明,除了居里温度(TC)外还存在另一特征温度 Tonset,高于 Tonset的样品为典型的顺磁绝缘体,而低于 TC 的样品为典型的铁磁金属,但在Tonset和TC 之间,样品的磁化率大大偏离居里 外斯定律,同时其导电特性显示出明显的反常.对观察到的不寻常导电特性,根据铁磁金属集团在顺磁绝缘体背景上随机分布的假设,进行了分析与探讨.

用不同实验方法制备了名义组分为(1-x)La0.67Ca0.33MnO3/xCuO(LCMO/CuO)和La0.67Ca0.33Mn1-xCuxO3(LCMCO)两组样品,在宽的温度范围内研究了样品的电输运行为随Cu含量x的变化关系,发现这两组样品表现出不同的行为。对于LCMCO,随x的增加,金属-绝缘体转变温度Tp迅速降低,当x=5.5%,样品表现出绝缘体导电行为;而LCMO/CuO复合样品,当x≤6%时,随x增加,Tp逐渐下降,x≥6%时,Tp不再继续降低,所有样品几乎表现出相同的电输运行为。另外,这两组样品均表现出较好的低场磁电阻效应(LFMR),在0.3 T下样品的最大磁电阻分别达到了~76%和88%。基于样品结构以及制备过程的分析,我们认为LFMR效应的增强主要是因为颗粒边界上形成的Cu相关自旋无序层引起的。

用固相反应法制备了(1–x)La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/xCr2O3(x为摩尔分数)复合样品,实验研究了在外加0~3T的磁场下,Cr2O3含量对该复合样品的电输运性质及磁电阻的影响。结果发现随着Cr2O3含量的增加,金属-绝缘体(M-I)转变温度Tp急剧降低,并且当Cr2O3含量x>0.1时此转变消失。与此同时,电阻率随其含量增加而快速增大,特别的是在样品中观察到了较宽温度范围内显著增强了的磁电阻。这种结果的出现可能与Cr2O3有关的新相偏析在La2/3Ca1/3MnO3(LCMO)晶界和颗粒界面有关。

Electrical Transport and Giant Magnetoresistance in (1-x)La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)MnO_3/xCuO Composites

Samples with nominal composition of (1 - x)La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 (LCMO)/xCuO (x = 0%, 2%, 4% and 20% ) were made using a special experimental method. The temperature dependence of the resistivity (ρ) of the composites was investigated in the temperature range of 10 - 300 K and different magnetic fields of H = 0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0 T. The results showed that CuO percentage x had important effects on metal-insulator transition temperature (Tp), zero field peak resistivity (ρmax), and magnetoresistance (MR) properties of the composites. Tp shifted sharply towards low temperature with the increase of x in the range of x ≤4%, but was almost independent of x at high level of CuO content. Composites with x = 4 % and 20 % exhibited similar electrical transmission behavior. Compared with pure LCMO, enhanced magnetoresistance could be clearly observed even in a quite low magnetic field of 0.3 T. For x =4% and 20% samples, the MR value at 0.3 T could reach as high as - 88% and - 90%, respectively. XRD and SEM analysis showed that the substantial enhancement of MR, especially near Tp, was because of local spin disorder between contiguous LCMO ferromagnetic particles caused by the addition of CuO.

Enhanced Low-field Magnetoresistence in the Absence of Mn Content in Polycrystalline La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)MnO_3

Magnetic and electrical transport properties of the La0.67Ca0.33Mn1-xO3 (x=0-0.16), which were prepared by the sol-gel method followed by sintering treatment at 1 450, 1 100 and 900 ℃, respectively, were investigated. Experimental results show that, with the increase of x, the resistivity of samples increases and the insulator-metal transition temperature shifts towards lower temperature. Meanwhile, the intrinsic megnetoresistance effect is weakened and the extrinsic magnetoresistance is enhanced. For the samples with x=0.16 and 0.10 sintered at 1 100 ℃ and 900 ℃, respectively, low field magnetoresistance as high as about 50% can be observed. Furthermore, for the samples sintered at 1 100 ℃ and 900 ℃, the grain size is not only controlled by about sintering temperature, but also by the absence of Mn content x.
