In-Situ Analyzing the Influence of Thermoelectromagnetic Convection on the Nucleation Ahead of the Advancing Interface During Directional Solidification

Sn-3wt%Pb alloy was directionally solidified without and with a 0.08T transverse magnetic field(TMF),and real-time recorded by in-situ synchrotron X-ray imaging.Results indicate that TMF shortened the distance from the location of nucleation to the advancing interface,and accelerated the growth rate of the equiaxed crystal,which caused the columnar-to-equiaxed transition(CET)finally.The thermoelectromagnetic convection(TEMC)in front of the interface and around the crystal's dendritic branch should respond to changes of the distance and the growth rate.

研究了强磁场下时效热处理对定向凝固高温合金DZ417G组织和硬度的影响。结果表明,较常规不同时间的时效处理,强磁场能够促进相变的发生,使析出相细小而弥散分布。与无磁场相比,经16h的时效处理后,6 T的强磁场使枝晶干处强化相γ′细化,尺寸小12%左右,显微硬度提高约8.4%;枝晶间处强化相γ′没有发生粗化,共晶组织周围的强化相γ′较无磁场下分布均匀;对碳化物的形貌没有产生明显影响。

Effects of β-Dendrite Growth Velocity on β→a Transformation of Hypoperitectic Ti–46Al–7Nb Alloy被引量:3

Solidification characteristics of Ti–46Al–7Nb melts were studied by the electromagnetic levitation technique.A maximum melt undercooling up to 240 K has been achieved. When the undercooling is lower than the critical value DT* = 205 K, the alloy possesses typical hypoperitectic solidification characteristic which can be evidenced by a peritectic layer observed in the as-solidified microstructure. However, the Widmansta¨tten structure can be observed at large undercooling regime of DT C DT*, where peritectic reaction cannot proceed and c lamellar precipitation within a plates is suppressed. Based on the BCT dendrite growth model, the dendrite growth velocities were calculated as a function of undercooling. Theoretical analysis indicates that the growth mechanism of the primary b phase transforms from solutaldiffusion-controlled to thermal-diffusion-controlled in the undercooling range of 188–205 K, which can be attributed to the onset of solute trapping at the critical undercooling. Meanwhile, with increasing undercooling, the solute trapping effect becomes more dominant as a consequence.

α-Al磁性对强磁场下Al-Cu亚共晶合金定向凝固组织的影响被引量:1

以Al-Cu亚共晶合金为研究对象,考察了α-Al单晶磁各向异性对稳恒强磁场下定向凝固枝晶组织生长行为的影响.实验测定了α-Al单晶不同晶向的磁化率.结果表明:Al-Cu单晶中的磁化现象表现出明显的方向性;难磁化轴为晶体学位向<111>方向,即磁化率最小;易磁化轴为晶体学位向<311>或<310>方向,即磁化率最大;磁化率随Cu原子数量的增加而降低;[111]晶向族中4个晶向的磁化率不再一致.对于Al-0.85%Cu合金,当生长速度为50μm/s时,在无磁场情况下其定向凝固枝晶主干沿凝固方向排列;当施加6 T纵向强磁场时,枝晶主干偏离凝固方向成一定夹角排列,这一现象可能是由α-Al磁晶的各向异性所致.

Effect of seed particles content on texture formation of Si_3N_4 ceramics by gel-casting in a strong magnetic field被引量:1

In this paper,the textured Si_3N_4 ceramics were prepared by adding seed particles during gel-casting in the magnetic field of 6 T,followed by pressureless sintering.The effect of pH on the stability and dispersibility of Si_3N_4 slurry and the effect of seed particles content on texture formation of Si_3N_4 ceramics were both studied.Those results showed that the slurry with good stability and dispersibility was obtained when pH was about 11.6.The a or b-axis of Si_3N_4particles or crystals was aligned parallel to the direction of the magnetic field in the magnetic field of 6 T.The degree of texture of Si_3N_4 ceramics further increased during sintering.With the increasing of additional β-Si_3N_4 particles in the magnetic field of 6 T,the degree of texture increased from0.19 without seed particles to 0.76 with 9%(mass fraction)seed particles.The increase of seed particles content promoted the texture formation of Si_3N_4 ceramics.

烧结温度和粒度分布对多孔氧化硅陶瓷型芯材料性能的影响被引量:16

采用热压注法制备了纯氧化硅多孔陶瓷型芯材料样品,研究了烧结温度和陶瓷粉末粒度分布对陶瓷材料烧结后的组织和性能的影响.结果表明,随着烧结温度的升高,样品的气孔率逐步降低,室温和高温抗弯强度均相应提高.当烧结温度为1 200?C时,烧结收缩率为2.75%,气孔率为24.69%,室温抗弯强度达到25.3 MPa,高温抗弯强度达到44.23 MPa;当烧结温度超过1 200?C时,室温和高温抗弯强度均明显降低,而收缩率和气孔率变化不明显.通过样品断口形貌和相应物相分析发现,不同烧结温度下样品致密度和方石英含量的不同是造成陶瓷型芯室温和高温抗弯强度变化的主要原因,而粒度分布能够显著影响型芯材料的气孔率、收缩率和抗弯强度.在本实验中,具有如下粒度分布的型芯材料的综合性能最佳:10μm以下约为25.33%,10~30μm约为38.16%,30~50μm约为28.74%,50μm以上约为7.77%,最大粒径不超过95μm.

过冷Ti-46Al-7Nb亚包晶合金的相选择被引量:2

采用电磁悬浮方法,通过原位观察再辉曲线进行过冷Ti-46Al-7Nb亚包晶合金的快速凝固研究,获得的最大过冷度为240 K。在一定过冷度下对悬浮的熔体进行铜基底悬淬,进而对凝固合金的微观组织进行分析。超过一定的临界过冷度(ΔT*=205 K),凝固模式将从具有包晶转变特征向包晶转变被抑制转化。当熔体初始过冷度ΔT≤ΔT*时,遵循包晶合金的典型凝固规律,β相作为初生相析出,在随后的冷却过程中包晶相α以包晶反应、包晶转变的方式析出。当ΔT>ΔT*时,β相直接凝固,包晶相α的析出被抑制。包晶反应能否发生取决于包晶相α的孕育时间τP与再辉后熔体完全β相凝固所需的时间tβ的相对大小。当过冷度相差不大时,通过改变凝固过程的冷速,组织中获得β相向α"相的马氏体转变。

Competition Growth of α and β Phases in Ti-50 at.%Al Peritectic Alloy during the Rapid Solidification by Laser Melting Technique被引量:4

Rapid solidification of Ti-50 at.%Al peritectic alloy is realized by laser melting technique at diferent conditions of laser power and scanning speed.The temperature field and the cooling rate under the corresponding conditions are derived from the finite element simulation.Comparing the measured pool size with the simulated result,the laser absorptivity of Ti-50 at.%Al peritectic alloy at diferent conditions can be deduced to establish the relationships between the laser absorptivity,the laser power and the scanning speed.The morphology evolution and the phase selection of Ti-50 at.%Al peritectic alloy are described by the temperature gradient and the cooling rate.With the increase of temperature gradient and cooling rate,βphase replacesαphase to become the leading growth phase.And the growth ofαphase experiences the transition from facet to non-facet manner,whileβphase is refined.To understand the underlying mechanism of the competition growth can bring benefit to the industrial application of Ti-Al alloy.
