等离子喷涂Al2O3/TiO2陶瓷涂层在液态石蜡润滑下的摩擦磨损性能研究被引量:8

利用纳米和微米结构Al2O3/TiO2喂料制备出2种陶瓷涂层,考察了这2种涂层在液体石蜡润滑下与不锈钢球摩擦副的摩擦磨损性能,并探讨了2种涂层的磨损机理.结果表明:液态石蜡润滑能有效降低纳米Al2O3/TiO2涂层与不锈钢球摩擦副的摩擦系数和磨损率,但是对微米涂层的润滑效果不明显.纳米涂层的摩擦系数仅为微米涂层的1/3,而磨损率则降低了70倍以上.纳米涂层的磨损机制在低载荷下是轻微的黏着磨损,高载荷下则是摩擦抛光,而微米涂层的磨损机制是晶粒脆性断裂.

类金刚石薄膜力学特性的分子动力学模拟被引量:2

基于Brenner的REBO势函数,利用分子动力学方法模拟了含氢量不同的类金刚石薄膜的纳米压痕过程,依据得到的加载卸载曲线,计算了薄膜的刚度、硬度以及弹性模量.结果表明:类金刚石薄膜的硬度由氢含量和sp3键含量两个因素共同决定;当薄膜中氢含量小于39%时,薄膜硬度主要取决于sp3键含量,sp3键越多,硬度越高;当薄膜中氢含量达到52%,薄膜硬度则显著下降,此时氢的作用占据主导地位.

非平衡磁控溅射制备类石墨碳膜及性能研究被引量:7

利用中频非平衡磁控溅射技术在单晶硅基底上沉积了类石墨碳膜,采用Raman光谱、高分辨透射电子显微镜、原子力显微镜分析了薄膜微观结构和表面形貌;采用纳米压痕仪和CSM摩擦磨损试验机测试了碳膜力学性能和摩擦学性能.结果表明:利用中频非平衡磁控溅射技术沉积的碳膜是一种以sp^2键合碳为主、结构非晶、硬度适中、应力较低、表面粗糙度较大、摩擦性能优异的薄膜.脉冲占空比对薄膜微观结构和性能有显著影响,随着脉冲占空比的增大,Raman光谱D峰和G峰的强度比ID/IG先减小后增大,而硬度随脉冲占空比的增大却呈现出相反的变化趋势,即先增大后减小;大气氛围中的摩擦性能测试表明,本实验制备的薄膜具有优异的抗磨性能(~10^(-11)cm^3/N^(-1)·m^(-1))和承载能力(~2.5 GPa).随脉冲占空比的增大,薄膜摩擦系数变化甚微而磨损率却呈现先显著减小后轻微增大的变化趋势.类石墨碳膜优异的摩擦学性能主要归因于其独特的结构、较低的内应力及良好的结构稳定性.

等离子喷涂纳米和常规喂料WC-Co涂层在干摩擦和水环境中的摩擦磨损性能研究被引量:12

采用大气等离子喷涂法分别以纳米和常规喂料制备出2种WC-Co涂层,在SRV摩擦磨损试验机上考察了2种涂层在干摩擦和水环境中的摩擦磨损性能.结果表明:在干摩擦和水环境中,纳米WC-Co涂层的摩擦系数和磨损率均小于常规WC-Co涂层;纳米和常规WC-Co涂层的磨损机制差异不大,在干摩擦下其磨损机制主要以粘着磨损、剥落和磨粒磨损为主;在水环境中,WC-Co涂层与S i3N4配副时的摩擦系数和磨损量较与不锈钢球配副时高,2种摩擦副的磨损机理有所不同,前者主要以剥落和疲劳磨损为主,后者主要以粘着磨损为主,伴有轻微的磨粒磨损.

角分辨XPS测定极薄金膜的厚度和覆盖率

极薄薄膜的覆盖率有时难以用常规方法定量表征。本文提出了一套以单层薄膜的角分辨X射线光电子能谱(ARXPS)模型测定极薄薄膜的厚度h,以恰好不再能检测到基底信号的光电子出射角(TOA)为最小基底信号起飞角θmin,以最大裸露线宽L=h/tgθmin为直径的圆形裸露区模型估算薄膜覆盖率的新方法。将该方法应用于热蒸镀法在羟基化硅基底上制备的极薄的岛状金膜,当TOA〉17.5°时Au 4f的峰强变化与单层膜的ARXPS模型吻合得很好;当TOA〈7.5°时不再能检出基底信号;测得金膜的厚度为16.0±0.4,金膜覆盖率为-92%。

Study on the Tribological Properties of Graphite-like Amorphous Carbon Film under Different Testing Conditions

Graphite-like amorphous carbon film was fabricated by unbalanced magnetron sputtering technique.Raman spectroscopy,atomic force microscopy(AFM)and tribometer were subsequently used to investigate the microstructure and tribological properties of the resultant film.It is found that the deposited carbon film is dominated by sp 2 sites,and the intensity ratio of the D and G peaks is as high as 4.0,which is one order of magnitude larger than that of diamond-like carbon films with high sp 3 content,indicating a more graphite-like structure.However,the as-deposited carbon film exhibits moderately high hardness(13.7 GPa),low internal stress(0.38 GPa)and superior tribological properties with high load bearing capacity(Hertz contact stress about 3.2 GPa)and low wear rate(2.73×10-10 cm3/N.m)in ambient atmosphere.Although it displays a poor wear resistance in water lubricated condition,a superior wear resistance is achieved in oil lubricated condition.Its inherent physical property,the formation of transfer layer and the friction induced chemical reactions may be commonly responsible for its tribological properties.

Effect of Ti Incorporation on the Microstructure and Properties of the a-C:H Films Deposited by Magnetron Sputtering Technique

Amorphous hydrogenated carbon(a-C:H)and Ti-incorporated a-C:H(Ti/a-C:H)films were deposited by magnetron sputtering with a mixture gas of CH4 and Ar.The effect of the Ti incorporation on the chemical composition,microstructure and properties of the as-deposited and the annealed films were investigated by various techniques.It has been shown that the bonding structure and the internal stress were sensitive to the incorporation of the Ti atoms.The results of the XPS revealed that the concentration of Ti atom on the surface of the film increased when the Ti/a-C:H film annealed at 300oC.The tribologcial properties of the(Ti/)a-C:H films changed greatly after annealed,due to the graphitization,oxidation of carbon,and so forth.It compared and discussed in detail the change of the microstructure and properties of the a-C:H and Ti/a-C:H films before and after

Friction phenomena in a two-dimensional Frenkel-Kontorova model被引量:1

By using the molecular dynamic simulation method with a fourth-order Runge-Kutta algorithm, a two-dimensional dc-and ac-driven Frenkel-Kontorova (FK) model with a square symmetry substrate potential for a square lattice layer has been investigated in this paper. For this system, the effects of many different parameters on the average velocity and the static friction force have been studied. It is found that not only the amplitude and frequency of ac-driven force, but also the direction of the external driving force and the misfit angle between two layers have some strong influences on the static friction force. It can be concluded that the superlubricity phenomenon appears easily with a larger ac amplitude and lower ac frequency for some special direction of the external force and misfit angle.

Microstructure and Wear Resistance Evolution of HVOFSprayed WC-(W,Cr)_2C-Ni Coating with Post Heat Treatment In Air Atmosphere

WC-(W,Cr)2C-Ni coating was prepared on 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel and C-276 Ni-base Hastelloy by high velocity oxy-fuel(HVOF)spraying.The effect of post heat treatment in air atmosphere on the microstructure,phase composition,microhardness,fracture toughness,and wear resistance of HVOF-sprayed WC-(W,Cr)2C-Ni coating was investigated.The microstructure and phase composition of the coatings were analyzed by means of field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The microhardness and fracture toughness of the coatings were measured using a microhardness tester and a Vickers hardness tester.Moreover,dry friction and wear behavior of the coatings sliding against Si3N4 ball was investigated using an oscillating friction and wear tester;and the worn surfaces of the coatings were analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It was found that heat treatment within 500-800°C resulted in crystallization of amorphous phase in as-sprayed coating,generating nanoscale new phases such as NiWO4,CrWO4 and Cr2WO6.Besides,heat treatment led to increase of the microhardness of as-sprayed coating,and the highest microhardness was obtained after heat treatment at 800°C.The fracture toughness and wear resistance of the as-sprayed coating increased with increasing heat treatment temperature up to 700°C but tended to decrease with further elevating temperature.In other words,the mechanical properties and wear resistance of the as-sprayed coatings were worsened owing to excessive growth of oxidation grains and depletion of ductile Ni binder after heat treatment above 700°C.Thus it was suggested that as-sprayed ceramic composite coating should be post heat treated in air at a moderate temperature of 700°C so as to achieve the optimized mechanical properties and wear resistance.
