Preparation and study on performance of submicron nickel powder for multilayer chip positive temperature coefficient resistance被引量:4

Base metal nickel is often used as the inner electrode in multilayer chip positive temperature coefficient resistance (PTCR). The fine grain of ceramic powders and base metal nickel are necessary. This paper uses reducing hydrazine to gain submicron nickel powder whose diameter was 200-300 nm through adjusting the consumption of nucleating agent PVP properly. The submicron nickel powder could disperse well and was fit for co--fired of multilayer chip PTCR. It analyes the submicron nickel powder through x-ray Diffraction (XRD) and calculates the diameter of nickel by PDF cards. Using XRD analyses it obtains several conclusions: If the molar ratio of hydrazine hydrate and nickel sulfate is kept to be a constant, when enlarging the molar ratio of NaOH/Ni^2+, the diameter of nickel powder would become smaller. When the temperature in the experiment raises to 70-80 ℃, nickel powder becomes smaller too. And if the molar ratio of NaOH/Ni2+ is 4, when molar ratio of (C2H5O)2/Ni^2+ increases, the diameter of nickel would reduce. Results from viewing the powders by optical microscope should be the fact that the electrode made by submicron nickel powder has a better formation and compactness. Furthermore, the sheet resistance testing shows that the electrode made by submicron nickel is smaller than that made by micron nickel.

以溶胶-凝胶法制备了BaTiO3基PTCR纳米陶瓷粉体,通过适当控制材料的掺杂量和烧成制度达到细化晶粒、降低烧结温度及降低室温率的目的。讨论了溶胶.凝胶过程中水的加入量、乙酸加入量、乙醇加入量、成胶温度对形成细晶粉体的影响,制备出的BaTiO3粉体具有纯度高、粒径小、均匀性好、活性高、热处理温度低等优点。R-T丁曲线表明1260℃较1240℃烧结具有高的升阻比、温度系数,低的电阻率、居里温度:XRD分析表明所得粉体与BaTiO3主峰相吻合;800℃预烧2h所得BaTiO3粉体的TEM图表明粉体分布较均匀、外形为近似球形,其平均晶粒尺寸约30nm左右,与XRD得到的晶粒相当,单个颗粒是单晶;1240℃下烧结所得样品的SEM图片看出样品的平均晶粒约1~2μm、晶粒较为均匀致密。

Ni-BaTiO_3 interface phenomenon of Co-fired PTCR by aqueous tape casting

The green sheets with Ni paste as inner electrodes were sintered at 1 320 ℃ for 1 h under a N2/H2 mixing gas at an oxygen partial pressure p(O2)=10-8-10-12 MPa, and then reoxided at 900-1 000 ℃ to form multilayer positive temperature coefficient of resistance(PTCR). During the experiments, electronic characteristic effects of PTC with different thicknesses were contrasted. A certain extending of Ni diffusion is beneficial to the ohmic contact of multilayer PTCR but excessive diffusion is harmful to PTCR. The diffusion was studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry(EDS). Inter-diffusion of element takes place along the Ni-BaTiO3 interface, especially Ni diffusion to BaTiO3 dominated the process. Furthermore, the degree of Ni diffusion is very severe as ceramic layers are very thin.

TlBr单晶材料具有探测器高的阻止本领、宽禁带、高电阻率、高密度、能量吸收深度较小等特点,是目前理想的高能X和γ射线探测用半导体材料之一。介绍了TlBr单晶材料、TlBr探测器的基本原理以及TlBr单晶及器件的研究现状,概括了TlBr原料提纯和晶体生长的主要方法及其特点,同时总结归纳出TlBr晶体生长和器件制备方面所存在的高质量材料制备问题、电极接触问题、器件结构设计问题和载流子收集问题,以及将来TlBr探测器领域的热点研究方向。
