One newly recorded species from China, Clelimyia paradoxa Herting, 1981(Diptera), is redescribed and illustrated. This is the first recorded genus in China.
The genus Fascellina Walker, 1860 in China is reviewed. In total six species are recognized. Three species are recorded as new to the fauna of China: Fascellina porphyreofusa Hampson, 1895, F. inornata Warren, 1893 and F. rectimarginata Warren, 1894. The diagnoses of the genus and species, descriptions of the genus and newly recorded species, key to species and illustrations of the adults and genitalia are provided.
One new species from China, Phasia xuei sp. nov., is described and illustrated. A modified key to the Phasia barbifrons-group is provided. The types are deposited in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University (SYNU).
Two new species from Liaoning, China, Phyllomya nigripalpis Liang & Zhang, sp. nov. and Smidtia longicercus Liang & Zhang, sp. nov., are described as new to science, with photos of external morphological characters and terminalia of male. The type specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University(SYNU).
The genus Dolichocoxys Townsend, 1927 (Diptera: Tachinidae) in China is reviewed and D. unisetus sp. nov. is described as new. Figures of head and terminalia, ecological images of adults, a key to all known species are provided.
A new tachinid species, Neoemdenia mudanjiangensis Hou et Zhang sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on specimens collected from Mudanjiang in northeast China. A key to Palaearctic species of Neoemdenia is provided. The types are deposited in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University (SYNU).
