采用共沉淀-化学诱导相变法制备了γ-Fe2O3磁性纳米微粒,并用Massart法合成了聚乙烯醇(PVA)体积分数为0~1%的水基γ-Fe2O3离子型磁性液体.利用振动样品磁强计(VSM)对磁性液体的磁化性质进行了研究,结果表明:微粒体积分数相同的γ-Fe2O3磁性液体,由于基液中PVA体积分数不同,饱和磁化强度也不同;纯水基的约化饱和磁化强度与纳米微粒的饱和磁化强度基本相同;含PVA的磁性液体其饱和磁化强度较纯水基磁性液体的饱和磁化强度小,且随着PVA体积分数的增大而更为显著.

Study of magneto-optical effects in γ-Fe_2O_3/ZnFe_2O_4 nanoparticle ferrofluids, using circularly polarized light被引量:3

When circularly polarized light travels through a ferrofluid film in the presence of an applied magnetic field, the transmitted light will behave as elliptically polarized light, because of magnetic birefringence and dichroism. The angular distribution o the relative intensity of the transmitted light can be obtained using a polarizer, so that the ratio of both the long and short ax es-as well as the orientation angle of the ellipse, corresponding to the direction of the applied magnetic field-can be deter mined, and whether the ferrofluids samples are stable during the measurement can be directly judged from the shape of the distribution curves. Thus, the ratio of the amplitudes Ax/Ay and the added phase difference can be resolved in the elliptically polarized light, and information on both the magnetic birefringence n and the dichroism k can be deduced for the ferrofluid sample. From the orientation angles of both right-handed and left-handed elliptically polarized transmitted light, the direction of the applied magnetic field can be accurately determined. Using circularly polarized light, the magnetic birefringence and dichroism of pure γ-Fe2O3 ferrofluids and γ-Fe2O3/ZnFe2O4 binary ferrofluids were studied. For the binary ferrofluids, a mod ulating effect on the magnetic birefringence and dichroism was revealed.

根据进行科研工作的体会以及从事实验教学的经验,作者提出了将从事磁性液体的磁光效应研究中取得的一些成果(包括科研论文和专利)转化为实验教学内容的构想。进行了构建以综合性、研究性实验为目标的实验教学模式探讨。论文阐述了相关的科研背景、开设本实验的指导思想、实验的主要原理以基本要求。

分别采用FeCl_2溶液和FeCl_2/NaOH溶液作为处理液,通过化学诱导相变法制备了γ-Fe_2O_3磁性纳米微粒.利用透射电子显微镜(TEM)、振动样品磁强计(VSM)、高分辨电子显微镜(HRTEM)和X射线衍射仪(XRD)对所制备纳米微粒的形貌、磁化性质、晶体结构进行表征与分析.结果表明,所制备的γ-Fe_2O_3纳米微粒基本为球形微粒;由TEM确定的物理粒径大于由VSM测量确定的磁性粒径和由XRD确定的晶体粒径;且经添加的NaOH处理制备的γ-Fe_2O_3磁性纳米微粒的粒径增大,磁性增强.实验结果还表明,具有对数正态分布尺寸的纳米晶体系,由Scherrer公式计算得到的晶体粒径对应体系的中值粒径而不是平均粒径.

采用化学共沉淀法制备了γ-Fe2O3/Ni2O3复合磁性纳米微粒,并用Massart法合成了γ-Fe2O3/Ni2O3复合磁性微粒的磁性液体.用振动样品磁强计(VSM)测量了磁性微粒及不同体积分数的磁性液体的磁化曲线.结果表明,磁性液体的饱和磁化强度与磁性液体中微粒的体积分数v、微粒表面的非磁性层以及基液的磁性有关;不同体积分数的磁性液体的饱和磁化强度实际测量值与相应的理论值吻合较好.由此可判断:γ-Fe2O3/Ni2O3复合磁性微粒较其它单相纳米微粒更适于合成磁性液体.

Characterization of γ-Fe_2O_3 nanoparticles prepared by transformation of α-FeOOH被引量:4

γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by a chemically induced transformation of α-FeOOH.In this method,the precursor(α-FeOOH)was prepared by chemical precipitation,and then treated with a mixed FeCl2/NaOH solution to produce the nanoparticles.X-ray diffraction indicated that when the precursor was treated with FeCl2(0.22 mol/L)and NaOH(0.19 mol/L),pure γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were obtained.However,when the concentration of FeCl2 was<0.22 mol/L or the concentration of NaOH was<0.19 mol/L,α-FeOOH and γ-Fe2O3 phases co-existed in the nanoparticles.Transmission electron microscopy observations showed that in the samples with co-existing phases,the nanoparticles did not have identical morphologies.The pure γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were polygonal rather than spherical.The volume ratio of α-FeOOH and γ-Fe2O3 was estimated for the two-phase samples from magnetization data obtained from a vibrating sample magnetometer.This chemically induced transformation is novel,and could provide an effective route for the synthesis of other metal oxide nanocrystallites.

Formation of highly crystalline maghemite nanoparticles from ferrihydrite in the liquid phase

Fe5O7(OH)4H2O ferrihydrite is a low-crystallinity antiferromagnetic material.c-Fe2O3(maghemite)magnetic nanoparticles were prepared from a ferrihydrite precursor,by chemically induced transformation in FeCl2/NaOH solution.The magnetization,morphology,crystal structure and chemical composition of the products were determined by vibrating sample magnetometry,transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Ferrihydrite underwent aggregation growth and transformed into a-FeO(OH)(goethite)particles,which subsequently transformed into c-Fe2O3nanoparticles,that became coated with NaCl.The c-Fe2O3particles had a flake-like morphology,when prepared from 0.01 mol/L FeCl2and a FeCl2:NaOH molar ratio of 0.4.The c-Fe2O3particles were more spherical,when prepared from a FeCl2:NaOH molar ratio of 0.6.The Fe content of the flake-like particles was lower than that of the spherical particles.Their magnetizations were similar,and the coercivity of the flake-like particles was larger.The differences in morphology and magnetization were attributed to the surface effect,and the difference in coercivity to the shape effect.

基于化学诱导相变法的磁性液体合成及其磁光效应

使用化学诱导相变法制备的γ-Fe_2O_3磁性纳米颗粒,经油酸表面包裹可分散于煤油中合成磁性液体.在磁场作用下,圆偏振光透过磁性液体样品后,由于双折射效应和二向色性,透射光为椭圆偏振光.用圆偏振光作为探测光源,使用θ扫描技术可得到透射椭圆偏振光的相对强度角分布的T-θ曲线.从曲线可得到反映透射椭圆偏振光特征的相对透射强度的最小值T_(min)和最大值T_(max)以及椭圆的取向角Δθ.从这些透射光的参数可导出磁双折射效应Δn和磁二向色性Δκ.实验结果表明:随着磁场H增强或颗粒体积分数v增大,Δn和Δκ增加.所制备的磁性液体的磁双折射和磁二向色性来源于在磁场作用下,磁性液体中的磁性纳米颗粒由分散体系形成了场致链结构.

利用二次反应法得到γ-Fe2O3纳米微粒并合成水基和水-甘油基的磁性液体.用透射电子显微镜(TEM)和振动样品磁强计(VSM)对γ-Fe2O3纳米微粒的形态、大小和磁化强度以及磁性液体的磁化性质进行了表征.结果表明体积分数相同的γ-Fe2O3磁性液体,由于基液的不同其饱和磁化强度也不同,水基磁性液体的饱和磁化强度比甘油基磁性液体的大.在这3种不同基液的磁性液体中,磁化性质的场致团聚效应是相同的.
