Fabrication and Characterization of Diatomite-supported Activated Carbon Functional Ceramic被引量:4

Using porous diatomite ceramic as carrier and phenolic resin as carbon precursor, the activated carbon functional ceramic with the activated carbon fixed into porous ceramic was prepared by the impregnation load phenolic resin, carbonization and activation isolated air. The influences of impregnation, curing, carbonization, activation etc. on the material property were discussed. The iodine value, SEM, elemental analyzer, BET and spectrum analysis chart were used to characterize the microstructures and performance of material at different conditions. The results showed that the excellent comprehensive property of activated carbon functional ceramic was gained when it adsorbed phenolic resin in 4 h under vacuum condition at curing temperature of 150 ℃ for 0.5 h and carbonization temperature of 600 ℃ for 1.0 h, and then put into 25wt% KOH for 4.0 h at activation temperature of 700 ℃ for 1.5 h. The iodine value is 176.9 mg/g, the specific surface area can reach 86.3 m2/g and the yield of carbonization is 50.48%.

活性炭陶瓷复合材料的甲醛吸附特性研究被引量:5

用硅藻土及煤质活性炭为主要原料制备活性炭陶瓷复合材料,通过含炭量、碘吸附值、体积密度、气孔率和抗压强度测试确定最佳制备工艺条件。探讨该活性炭陶瓷复合材料对甲醛的吸附特性影响,对比分析了活性炭不同添加量、不同环境温度对材料甲醛吸附性能的影响。结果表明硅藻土与活性炭比值为7∶3,烧成温度为800℃,保温时间为2 h时材料的综合性能最好,此时该材料的气孔率达到55.19%,体积密度为8.429g·cm-3,抗压强度为8.429 MPa,碘吸附值为279.12mg·g-1,含炭量为25.32%。

A Study on the Structure and Behavior of Sinter-free Material for Phosphorous Removal from Waste Water

Oyster shell and cement were taken as the major raw materials to fabricate hollow, tubular and recoverable material for phosphorous removal (P removal) from waste water without sintering. In this paper, the effects of different affecting factors on the sample P removal ratio were discussed to select optimal P removal process conditions. SEM and XRD were used to characterize the microscopic structures and composition of samples, and molybdenum blue spectrophotometry was applied to determine the P content in waste water. Results showed that at 30 ℃ for 2 d, the P removal ratio reached 93.3% when the cement content was 10 wt% and oyster shell powder was 90 wt%. SEM analysis revealed a flaky structure consisting of phosphorus-containing compound in the samples after P removal, and it piled on and maintained the porous structure. In addition, the results also suggested that raising the ambient temperature was benefit to the P removal. The P removal ratio of the material was optimal under neutral and alkali conditions.
